The Exhibition of Issidro Ferrer’s illustrations

Issidro Ferrer who is one of the leading characters and well known Illustrator and graphic designers of Spain, was the international special guest of the Silver Cedar Ceremony’s Forth anniversary.

By the efforts of Mr.Morteza Zahedi and support of the Graphic Designers Association in Tehran He presented his posters and collection of his illustrations in two individual exhibitions
in Lajevardi Foundation parallel with  Silver Cedar ceremony.

In addition, a selection of this great artist’s illustrations and motion graphic designs were shown in Lajevardi Foundation.

In Ferrer’s work, humorous fantasies will merge with the most profound human feelings. As an artist, Ferrer is a seeker, whom you could somehow reach the labyrinth of his ponders and concerns through his art.

Color is not the center or quandary of his art, rather it is it an element which would be sought if truly required. He uses color as the means and a portal for transferring the concepts and notions in illustrating. Quoted by Ferrer “his creations are not limited to follow a certain specific pathway or style and each piece is created regarding its own unique existence and self-features.”

He communicates with the matters around himself and through this process somehow alters them and present a new artistic narration of them.

Moreover, an artistic book titled as “Think with Your Hands” which is a collection of Ferrer’s illustrations and graphic works is publish by the Contemporary Art publication in 1000 volumes due the efforts of Iran’s Graphic Designers’ association.
 

Issidro Ferrer was born in Madrid, Spain in 1963, he finished his studies in the field of Dramatic Art in Ecole Jacques Lecoq, Paris. In order to vast his artistic carrier and reaching for more professional experience he moved to Barcelona and started a new chapter by working in Perret Studio.
Nowadays he is considered as one of the most remarkable and notable contemporary illustrators. He achieved innumerable honors and international awards.
Beside all his artistic activities, he had published more than 30 volumes of various books, also he is a member of the International Union of graphic designers (E. R. G).
Currently he is a resident of a small city in mountainous location in north of Spain called Saragossa and continues his artistic work there as well.
